ZNF181 Antibody (16-Z) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ZNF181 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ZNF181 antibody (16-Z) is available as a non-conjugated format. ZNF181, also known as HHZ181, is a 571 amino acid protein characterized by its unique structure, which includes one KRAB domain and eleven C2H2-type zinc fingers. This structural composition enables ZNF181 to bind to specific DNA sequences, thereby playing a significant role in transcriptional regulation. The presence of the KRAB domain interacts with the KAP1 protein, facilitating the recruitment of histone-modifying enzymes that can alter chromatin structure and influence gene expression. ZNF181 is localized to the nucleus, where ZNF181 participates in various cellular processes, including the regulation of gene expression in response to developmental and environmental signals. Two isoforms of ZNF181 arise from alternative splicing, which may contribute to functional diversity in different cellular contexts.
