Vancomycin Antibody (2F10) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Vancomycin protein through immunofluorescence (IF) across non-species specific reactions. Anti-Vancomycin antibody (2F10) is available as a non-conjugated format, specifically designed for research applications. Vancomycin, a branched tricyclic glycosylated non-ribosomal peptide antibiotic, plays a crucial role in the treatment and prevention of infections caused by Gram-positive bacteria. Vancomycin is produced through the fermentation of the Actinobacteria species Amycolatopsis orientalis and functions primarily by inhibiting cell wall synthesis in bacteria, which ultimately leads to cell lysis.
