UNC5H2 Antibody (1A9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects UNC5H2 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-UNC5H2 antibody (1A9) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. UNC5H2, also known as unc-5 homolog B or p53-regulated receptor for death and life protein 1 (p53RDL1), plays a vital role in the nervous system by acting as a transmembrane receptor for netrin-1, which is crucial for axon guidance and neural cell migration. UNC5H2 is predominantly expressed in the brain, with lower levels found in developing lung, cartilage, kidney, and various hematopoietic and immune tissues. UNC5H2′s interaction with G protein Gαi-2 inhibits G protein signaling, influencing cellular migration and positioning during development. When cleaved by caspases, UNC5H2 can induce apoptosis by generating an intracellular fragment containing a death domain; however, netrin-1 binding counteracts this apoptotic activity. UNC5H2 expression is down-regulated in several cancers, including colorectal, breast, ovarian, uterine, stomach, lung, and kidney cancers, suggesting a tumor suppressor role. Without netrin-1, UNC5H2 inhibits anchorage-independent growth and invasion, and mutations in UNC5H2 may contribute to tumorigenicity, highlighting UNC5H2′s importance in cancer biology and potential therapeutic implications.
