TIS11B Antibody (1A3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TIS11B protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TIS11B antibody (1A3) is available as the non-conjugated format. TIS11B, also known as ZFP36L1, BRF1 (butyrate response factor 1), ERF1 (EGF-response factor 1), cMG1, Berg36, or RNF162B, is a member of the tristetraprolin family and plays a crucial role in post-transcriptional regulation. TIS11B protein is primarily located in the nucleus, where TIS11B functions as an mRNA binding protein that interacts with the 3′-untranslated region of various mRNAs, including that of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). By binding to these mRNAs, TIS11B decreases their stability, which is significant in the context of angiogenesis, suggesting TIS11B could be a potential target for antiangiogenic therapies aimed at inhibiting abnormal blood vessel formation. Additionally, TIS11B expression is upregulated during myoblast differentiation, indicating a potential role in myogenesis and muscle development. The presence of two C3H1-type zinc fingers and a repeating cysteine-histidine motif in TIS11B structure underscores evolutionary conservation and functional importance in regulating gene expression in response to growth factors.
