Stat1 Antibody (C-111) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Stat1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Stat1 (C-111) antibody is offered in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Stat1 protein plays a crucial role in mediating cellular responses to cytokines, particularly interferons, which are vital for immune response and antiviral defense. Upon activation by ligands such as interferons and growth factors, Stat1 undergoes tyrosine phosphorylation, allowing formation of a heterodimer with Stat2, which is part of the ISGF3 transcription factor complex that regulates expression of genes involved in immune responses. This function is essential for proper functioning of the immune system, as Stat1 helps coordinate cellular response to pathogens and stress signals. Stat1 monoclonal antibody (C-111) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying intricate signaling pathways that govern immune responses and role of Stat proteins in various biological processes.
