Datasheets
  • Septin 5 Antibody (E-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 313-345 near the C-terminus of Septin 5 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of Septin 5 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including and canine, bovine and porcine
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for Septin 5 Antibody (E-10) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with Septin 5 Antibody (E-10) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

    SEE ALSO...

Septin 5 Antibody (E-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Septin 5 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Septin 5 plays a crucial role in the organization of the cytoskeleton and is involved in various cellular processes, including cytokinesis and the regulation of exocytosis. Septin 5 is primarily localized to the cytoplasm, where Septin 5 forms heteropolymer complexes with other septins, contributing to the structural integrity of the cytoskeleton and facilitating cellular division. Proper localization and function of Septin 5 are vital for maintaining cellular architecture and ensuring successful cell division, as disruptions in septin function can lead to various diseases, including cancer. Septin 5 has been implicated in neurodegenerative disorders, highlighting Septin 5′s importance in both normal cellular function and disease pathology. Anti-Septin 5 antibody (E-10) is an essential tool for researchers studying these critical processes and the underlying mechanisms of related diseases.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-373903 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
