SCARA3 Antibody (10-L) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SCARA3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SCARA3 antibody (10-L) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. SCARA3, also known as scavenger receptor class A, member 3, CSR, APC7, CSR1, MSLR1, or MSRL1, is a 606 amino acid single-pass type II membrane protein widely expressed in various tissues. SCARA3 is primarily localized to the membranes of the endoplasmic reticulum and the Golgi apparatus, where SCARA3 functions as a macrophage scavenger receptor-like protein, crucial for removing oxidative molecules and their by-products from cells. SCARA3′s function is vital for maintaining cellular health, as SCARA3 plays a significant role in mitigating oxidative stress by depleting reactive oxygen species. Notably, SCARA3 expression increases in response to UV damage, highlighting SCARA3′s protective role against oxidative injury. Additionally, SCARA3 shows reduced expression in prostate tumor cells, suggesting potential involvement in tumor suppression mechanisms. SCARA3 features two collagen-like domains and exists in multiple isoforms due to alternative splicing, which may contribute to diverse functional roles in cellular processes.
