SCAMP1 Antibody (D-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects SCAMP1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SCAMP1 antibody (D-1) is available as the non-conjugated form. Secretory carrier membrane proteins (SCAMPs) play a crucial role in cellular processes such as endocytosis, vesicle recycling, and membrane trafficking, which are essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and communication. SCAMP1 is characterized by unique structural features, including multiple N-terminal NPF repeats and four highly conserved transmembrane regions, which facilitate interaction with EH domain proteins. These interactions are vital for the budding of transport vesicles from the plasma membrane and the Golgi complex, thereby influencing the dynamics of membrane trafficking. Notably, SCAMP1 is particularly abundant in neural tissue, where SCAMP1 is found in high concentrations within synaptic vesicles, underscoring importance in neurotransmitter release and synaptic function. Additionally, regulation of SCAMP1 through tyrosine phosphorylation by the epidermal growth factor receptor highlights involvement in signaling pathways that modulate cellular responses. With broad species reactivity and versatile applications, SCAMP1 monoclonal antibody (D-1) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying membrane dynamics and synaptic physiology.
