PWP1 Antibody (C-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 antibody that detects PWP1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PWP1, also known as periodic tryptophan protein 1 or endonuclein, is a 501 amino acid protein that serves as the human homolog of the Saccharomyces cerevisiae periodic Trp protein. PWP1 is primarily localized in the nucleus and is highly expressed in critical tissues such as the kidneys, pancreas, placenta, and skeletal muscle, highlighting an essential role in transcription and cell growth. PWP1 contains five WD-repeats, which are structural motifs that facilitate protein-protein interactions, and is believed to be involved in the development of pancreatic cancer. Additionally, PWP1 regulates chaperone activities within the endoplasmic reticulum and plays a significant role in various signal transduction pathways in the nucleus, making PWP1 a vital component in cellular processes and a potential target for therapeutic interventions.
