PARP-3 Antibody (B-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PARP-3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PARP-3 (B-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PARP-3 protein, also known as poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase-3, plays a crucial role in the base excision repair (BER) pathway by catalyzing the poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation of nuclear proteins, a vital post-translational modification that occurs in response to DNA damage. This modification is essential for the recruitment of DNA repair proteins to sites of damage, thereby facilitating the repair of DNA strand breaks and maintaining genomic stability. PARP-3 is predominantly located in the nucleus and is particularly abundant in actively dividing tissues such as the kidney, skeletal muscle, liver, heart, and spleen. Notably, human PARP-3 is mapped to chromosome 3p21-3-p21.1, a region frequently altered in solid malignant tumors, highlighting its potential significance in cancer biology and therapeutic targeting.
