p-C3G Antibody (G-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects p-C3G protein of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-p-C3G antibody (G-2) is available as the non-conjugated form. p-C3G protein, also known as phospho-RAPGEF1, plays a crucial role in regulating Ras signaling pathways, which are essential for various cellular processes, including cell growth, differentiation, and survival. Ras proteins function as molecular switches, toggling between an active GTP-bound state and an inactive GDP-bound state, and dysregulation can lead to oncogenic transformations. C3G acts as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) for Ras, facilitating GDP for GTP exchange, thereby promoting active signaling state. C3G interaction with Crk proto-oncogene product underscores importance in signaling cascade that regulates Ras activity. Additionally, C3G gene is located on human chromosome 9q34.13, near c-Abl proto-oncogene, which further highlights potential role in cancer biology. Understanding p-C3G function and regulatory mechanisms is vital for elucidating complexities of Ras signaling and implications in tumorigenesis.
