SEE ALSO...

p-c-Abl Antibody (7.Tyr 412) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Tyr 412 phosphorylated c-Abl of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-p-c-Abl antibody (7.Tyr 412) is available in both conjugated and non-conjugated forms, providing flexibility for various experimental needs. c-Abl plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in regulating cell growth and differentiation, making c-Abl a significant factor in oncogenesis. Tyrosine kinase activity of c-Abl is essential for mediating signals that influence cell cycle progression and apoptosis. Dysregulation of c-Abl, often due to chromosomal translocations such as the (9;22) translocation that produces the Philadelphia chromosome, can lead to several types of leukemia, including chronic myelocytic leukemia and acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The presence of activated Bcr/c-Abl fusion protein, resulting from this translocation, further underscores c-Abl′s importance in cancer biology, as Bcr/c-Abl contributes to uncontrolled proliferation of leukemic cells. p-c-Abl monoclonal antibody (7.Tyr 412) enables valuable insights into c-Abl′s role in these malignancies and exploration of potential therapeutic targets.

Is this antibody specific for the phosphorylated protein, and will not cross-react with the non-phosphorylated form of the protein?

Asked by: TinTin
Yes. p-c-Abl (7.Tyr 412): sc-293130 is specific for p-c-Abl phosphorylated at Tyr 412. The antibody has been validated through a series Western blot experiments using lambda phosphatase treated lysates to demonstrate phospho-specificity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for WBI only tried for WB and works very good. I used 1:1,000 dilution in BSA 5% on at 4. I also used the total c-Abl antibody and was very good too.
