Neuralized-2 Antibody (A-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Neuralized-2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Neuralized-2 antibody (A-11) is available as the non-conjugated form. Neuralized-2, also known as NEURL2, OZZ, or Ozz-E3, is a 285 amino acid cytoplasmic protein that plays a crucial role in myofiber differentiation and maturation, processes essential for muscle development and repair. Neuralized-2 is predominantly expressed in skeletal and cardiac muscle, where Neuralized-2 localizes to the tips of differentiating myofibers, regulating the ubiquitination and degradation of β-catenin at the sarcolemma, a critical step in muscle cell signaling and function. Neuralized-2 (A-11) antibody is vital for maintaining proper muscle structure and function, ensuring timely degradation of β-catenin, which, if accumulated, can lead to aberrant signaling pathways and muscle pathologies. Neuralized-2 contains one SOCS box domain that facilitates interaction with Elongin B and Elongin C, as well as one neuralized homology repeat domain implicated in binding to ubiquitination substrates. The gene encoding Neuralized-2 is located on human chromosome 20, a region associated with various diseases, including Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and Alagille syndrome, highlighting Neuralized-2′s importance in both normal physiology and disease states.
