Neurabin-I Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Neurabin-I protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Neurabin-I antibody (D-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Neurabin-I, also known as neural tissue-specific F-actin binding protein I, plays a crucial role in neuronal development and function, particularly in synapses where Neurabin-I is highly concentrated. Neurabin-I localization in growth cone lamellipodia during neuronal development is vital for proper neurite formation, with suppression of endogenous Neurabin-I in rat hippocampal neurons shown to inhibit this process. Neurabin-I recruits active protein phosphatase 1 (PP1) through a specific docking sequence, and mutations in PP1-binding motif can disrupt filopodia formation while restoring stress fibers in cells expressing Neurabin-I. This molecular interaction highlights Neurabin-I′s role in regulating cytoskeletal dynamics and signaling pathways essential for neuronal connectivity and plasticity. Neurabin II, a related protein predominantly found in brain tissue, localizes to dendritic spines critical for synaptic transmission and plasticity. Neurabin-I and Neurabin II interactions demonstrate complex regulatory mechanisms governing neuronal function, suggesting potential implications for neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders.
