N-type Ca++ CP α1B Antibody (A-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects N-type Ca++ CP alpha 1B protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). N-type Ca++ CP α1B (A-2) antibody is available as the non-conjugated form. N-type calcium channels, which anti-N-type Ca++ CP alpha 1B antibody (A-2) targets, are primarily located in high-density presynaptic nerve terminals, playing a pivotal role in neuronal excitation-secretion coupling. These channels are essential for the rapid release of neurotransmitters, as they facilitate calcium entry into the neuron, which is a critical step in synaptic transmission. N-type Ca++ channels are involved in cardiovascular regulation through their peripheral distribution and interaction with the autonomic nervous system. The structural composition of these channels includes a pore-forming α-1 subunit, along with auxiliary α-2, δ, and β subunits, which together form a complex that is vital for their function. The α-1 subunit not only conducts N-type calcium currents but also interacts with proteins involved in synaptic vesicle docking and fusion, such as syntaxin, SNAP-25, and synaptotagmin, through specific binding sites in its intracellular loop II-III. This intricate interplay underscores the importance of N-type Ca++ channels in both neuronal communication and cardiovascular health, making N-type Ca++ CP α1B (A-2) monoclonal antibody a valuable tool for research in these areas.
