Lamellipodin Antibody (A-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Lamellipodin in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Lamellipodin, also known as ras-associated and pleckstrin homology domains-containing protein 1 (RAPH1), is a 1302 amino acid member of the MRL family and plays a crucial role in mediating localized membrane signals, particularly at the tips of filopodia and lamellipodia, where Lamellipodin colocalizes with ENAH/VASP. Lamellipodin′s ability to facilitate cellular signaling and motility is vital for processes such as cell migration and tissue development, making Lamellipodin an important factor in both normal physiology and disease states. Notably, Lamellipodin is expressed in various tissues, with highest levels found in brain, heart, ovary, and developing embryo, while Lamellipodin expression is significantly downregulated in breast and ovarian cancers, as well as in metastatic osteosarcomas compared to primary tumors. Additionally, Lamellipodin has nine identified isoforms, including RMO1, RMO1a, RMO1b, RMO1c, RMO1ab, RMO1ac, RMO1bc, RMO1abc, and RMO1-RAPH1, which may contribute to diverse functional roles in cellular processes. Anti-Lamellipodin antibody (A-8) is an essential tool for researchers investigating dynamics of cell movement and molecular mechanisms underlying cancer progression.
