IGF2BP3 Antibody (C-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects IGF2BP3 in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IGF2BP3, also known as insulin-like growth factor II mRNA-binding protein 3, plays a critical role in regulating mRNA stability and translation, which is essential for cellular growth and differentiation. IGF2BP3 is predominantly located in the cytoplasm, where IGF2BP3 binds to specific mRNAs, including those of IGF-II and c-Myc, thereby influencing their stability and translation efficiency. IGF2BP3′s localization is particularly important as IGF2BP3 allows for the fine-tuning of gene expression in response to cellular signals, which is crucial during processes such as embryonic development and tumorigenesis. Notably, IGF2BP3 has been implicated in various cancers, serving as a marker for carcinomas and high-grade dysplastic lesions of pancreatic ductal epithelium, highlighting IGF2BP3′s potential as a therapeutic target and a biomarker for cancer progression.
