Hemogen Antibody (H-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Hemogen in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Hemogen is a 484 amino acid protein encoded by the human gene HEMGN, primarily functioning as a nuclear protein that plays a crucial role in the differentiation of hematopoietic precursor cells. Hemogen expression is notably observed in CD34+ cells and the K-562 leukemia cell line, as well as in various tissues including bone marrow, testis, thymus, and thyroid tumors, along with non-Hodgkin lymphoma and different leukemia cell lines. Hemogen plays a regulatory role during hematopoiesis, showing down-regulation during megakaryocytic differentiation of K-562 cells when treated with 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate, while showing up-regulation in normal peripheral blood mononuclear cells by mitogens. Anti-Hemogen antibody (H-1) provides a valuable tool for researchers studying hematopoietic differentiation and related disorders, facilitating the exploration of expression patterns and functional implications in various biological contexts.
