GP-39 Antibody (E-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects human cartilage glycoprotein 39 (GP-39) in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GP-39, also known as YKL-40, is a glycoprotein secreted primarily by articular chondrocytes, synoviocytes, and macrophages, playing a crucial role in inflammatory response and tissue remodeling. Elevated levels of GP-39 in serum and synovial fluid are associated with inflammatory diseases, particularly rheumatoid arthritis, where GP-39 levels correlate with the extent of joint destruction. GP-39 is predominantly expressed in articular chondrocytes and synovial cells, with additional expression noted in the liver, while remaining undetectable in muscle tissues, lung, pancreas, mononuclear cells, and fibroblasts. As a candidate autoantigen in rheumatoid arthritis, GP-39 plays an important role in cellular adaptation to environmental changes. Anti-GP-39 antibody (E-10) serves as an essential tool for researchers investigating GP-39′s role in various pathological conditions, providing insights into inflammatory processes and potential therapeutic targets.
