DOT1L1 Antibody (E-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects DOT1L1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DOT1L1, also known as DOT1L (DOT1-like, histone H3 methyltransferase), is a 1739 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression by methylating lysine residues on histones, thereby influencing chromatin structure and function. Unlike most histone methyltransferases that possess a SET domain, DOT1L1 operates through a distinct mechanism, which is significant for its unique role in epigenetic regulation. DOT1L1 is predominantly localized in the nucleus and is highly expressed in tissues such as testis, lung, and kidney, highlighting its importance in cellular processes. Furthermore, DOT1L1 interacts with various MLL-fusion partners associated with acute leukemia, contributing to oncogenesis and making DOT1L1 a critical target for cancer research.
