DOCK 8 Antibody (G-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DOCK 8 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DOCK 8 Antibody (G-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DOCK 8 protein, also known as dedicator of cytokinesis 8, is a 2,099 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of one DHR-2 (CZH-2) domain and one DHR-1 (CZH-1) domain, which are crucial for function as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF). DOCK 8 protein plays a significant role in regulating actin organization, which is essential for various cellular processes, including cell migration and division. Disruptions in DOCK 8 function can lead to severe immunological disorders, such as autosomal recessive hyper-IgE syndrome, which is marked by immunodeficiency and recurrent infections, as well as autosomal dominant mental retardation (MRD2) due to cytoskeletal abnormalities. DOCK 8 gene is located on human chromosome 9, a region that contains over 900 genes and represents nearly 4% of the human genome, highlighting importance in human health and disease.
