CKR-5 Antibody (T21/8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CKR-5 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). CKR-5, a member of the C-C chemokine receptor family, plays a crucial role in the immune response by acting as a receptor for various chemokines, which are essential for the chemotaxis of immune cells to sites of inflammation. This receptor serves as a coreceptor for HIV, facilitating viral entry into host cells alongside CD4. The interaction between CKR-5 and HIV is critical for understanding the mechanisms of viral infection and pathogenesis, as CKR-5 tends to associate with macrophage-tropic strains of the virus. The ability of CKR-5 to mediate the migration of immune cells not only highlights CKR-5′s importance in immune surveillance but also underscores CKR-5′s potential as a therapeutic target in HIV research and treatment strategies. Anti-CKR-5 antibody (T21/8) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers investigating the dynamics of immune responses and the intricate relationships between chemokine signaling and viral infections.

How can CKR-5 (T21/8): sc-53792 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: jenniferc
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-53792 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-53792 FITC).
