CHD1 Antibody (C-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CHD1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CHD1 (C-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CHD1 protein plays a crucial role in chromatin remodeling, functioning as an ATP-utilizing chromatin assembly factor that facilitates proper organization of chromatin structure, which is essential for gene expression regulation and DNA repair processes. CHD1 unique structure includes two chromodomains that work together to bind to methylated histone tails, a mechanism vital for recognizing epigenetic marks and maintaining chromatin integrity. CHD1 gene is located on chromosome 5q21.1 and encodes a protein consisting of 1,709 amino acids, exhibiting a high degree of conservation with mouse counterpart, sharing 95.5% identity. This conservation underscores CHD1 importance in fundamental cellular processes across species, making anti-CHD1 antibody (C-8) an invaluable tool for researchers studying chromatin dynamics and epigenetic regulation.
