CD45 Antibody (MB4B4) is a rat monoclonal IgG antibody engineered to target CD45, also known as Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase Receptor Type C (PTPRC). CD45 is a critical transmembrane glycoprotein prominently expressed on the surface of all nucleated hematopoietic cells in mice, playing a pivotal role in the regulation of immune cell signaling and activation. Positioned on the cell membrane, CD45 facilitates essential signal transduction pathways by dephosphorylating key tyrosine residues on Src family kinases such as Lck and Fyn, as well as on ZAP-70 from the Syk family of kinases. These interactions are fundamental for proper T and B cell receptor signaling, influencing lymphocyte development, activation, and overall immune responses.
