β-Amyloid Antibody (20.1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects β-Amyloid of human origin through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). β-Amyloid (20.1) antibody is available in non-conjugated form and various conjugates, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® options. β-Amyloid, produced through proteolytic cleavage of amyloid precursor protein (APP), is crucial in Alzheimer′s disease pathogenesis, forming neurotoxic plaques in the brain. β-Amyloid (20.1) monoclonal antibody recognizes a protein significant in neurodegenerative diseases and metabolic disorders, with amyloid deposits linked to type II diabetes and Down syndrome. β-Amyloid presence in human platelets highlights broader physiological and pathological roles. APP undergoes alternative splicing to produce various isoforms, adding complexity to function and regulation. The 4 kDa β-Amyloid peptide formation contributes to neurofibrillary tangles and senile plaques development in Alzheimer′s disease. Interactions with structurally similar proteins like APLP1 and APLP2 demonstrate complex protein networks influencing amyloid-related conditions.
