    SEE ALSO...

AHCYL1 Antibody (H-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects AHCYL1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-AHCYL1 antibody (H-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. AHCYL1, also known as S-adenosylhomocysteine hydrolase-like 1, DCAL, IRBIT, or PRO0233, is primarily located in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and plays a crucial role in amino acid biosynthesis. AHCYL1 catalyzes the hydrolytic conversion of S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine to L-homocysteine and adenosine, utilizing NAD as a cofactor in this essential metabolic pathway. This enzymatic activity is vital for maintaining cellular homocysteine levels, which are important for various physiological processes, including methylation reactions and neurotransmitter synthesis. AHCYL1 also features a PDZ-binding domain and a PEST region, allowing interaction with inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor-I (IP3R-I), a key player in intracellular signaling pathways. This interaction modulates IP3R-I affinity for its substrate, thereby influencing calcium signaling and cellular responses. AHCYL1 exhibits 100% homology with its mouse counterpart, underscoring conserved function across species, and two AHCYL1 isoforms arise from alternative splicing, adding to the complexity of regulatory roles in cellular metabolism.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514560 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
