Vangl2 Antibody (C-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Vangl2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Vangl2 antibody (C-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Vangl2, also known as Strabismus1, plays a crucial role in establishing planar cell polarity (PCP) during embryonic development, which is essential for proper tissue organization and function. Vangl2 localizes to the cell membrane and regulates convergent extension movements, a process that shapes the embryo by narrowing and lengthening tissues. Disruption of Vangl2 function can lead to severe developmental defects and has been implicated in various cancers, as both Vangl1 and Vangl2 are down-regulated in several cancer cell lines and primary tumors.
