TRPV5 Antibody (B-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects TRPV5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TRPV5 (B-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TRPV5 protein, consisting of 729 amino acids, plays a crucial role in calcium homeostasis by regulating the rate-limiting step of vitamin D3-mediated calcium reabsorption in the kidney and intestine. TRPV5 structure features six transmembrane domains, multiple potential phosphorylation sites, an N-linked glycosylation site, and three ankyrin repeat regions, which are essential for function and interaction with other proteins. Notably, the 5′-flanking region of TRPV5 contains four putative vitamin D3-responsive elements, highlighting regulatory relationship with vitamin D3 levels. TRPV5 is predominantly expressed in the kidney, jejunum, and pancreas, with lower expression levels found in the testis, prostate, placenta, brain, colon, and rectum. Understanding TRPV5 function and structure is vital, as TRPV5 not only contributes to calcium reabsorption but also plays a significant role in maintaining overall mineral balance in the body, which is essential for various physiological processes.

Are there any issues with using sc-398345: TRPV5 (B-8) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-398345 conjugates.
