TRPC6 Antibody (B-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TRPC6 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TRPC6 Antibody (B-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The transient receptor potential cation channel 6 (TRPC6) plays a crucial role in mediating store-operated calcium entry, which is essential for various cellular functions, including muscle contraction, neurotransmitter release, and cell proliferation. TRPC6 is primarily located in the plasma membrane of cells in tissues such as the placenta, spleen, lung, small intestine, and ovary, where TRPC6 facilitates the influx of calcium ions in response to diacylglycerol activation. TRPC6 consists of 931 amino acids and is part of a larger superfamily of TRP channels that are vital for maintaining calcium homeostasis and responding to physiological stimuli. The gene encoding human TRPC6 is located on chromosome 11q21-q22, and TRPC6 function is critical for various signaling pathways, making TRPC6 a significant target for research in cardiovascular and neurological disorders.
