SEE ALSO...

Skip Antibody (D-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Skip protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Skip (D-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Skip protein, also known as Ski-interacting protein, plays a crucial role in cellular processes by acting as a nuclear hormone receptor that binds to the highly conserved region of Ski, which is essential for transforming activity. This interaction facilitates Vitamin D-mediated transcription, linking Skip protein to vital regulatory pathways in cellular differentiation and transformation. Notably, Skip protein has been shown to interact with E7, the major transforming protein of human papillomavirus, which is a significant factor in the development of cervical cancer. Furthermore, Skip protein exhibits specific inhibitory effects on bone morphogenetic protein-2-induced differentiation and is recognized as a novel regulator of differentiation programming induced by transforming growth factor-beta signals. Additionally, Skip protein functions as a repressor in Notch signaling, working in conjunction with the corepressor SMRT, thereby underscoring Skip′s multifaceted role in cellular signaling and development.

Are there any issues with using sc-393856: Skip (D-5) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-393856 conjugates.
