QUICK LINKS

SD-169 inhibits p38alpha MAPK and acts as an ATP competitive inhibitor of p38 kinase. Reports indicate that in T cells of the pancreatic beta islets, SD-169 decreases the expression of p38 and HSP60, and has also been shown to decrease insulitis and beta cell death in NOD mice. p38 MAPK plays an important role in the regulation of inflammatory cytokine production and T cell function. SD-169 is an inhibitor of p38beta.
