POMT2 Antibody (G-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects POMT2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). POMT2 (G-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. POMT2 protein plays a crucial role in the process of O-mannosylation, a vital post-translational modification that is essential for proper functioning of many eukaryotic proteins. This modification is initiated by a conserved family of protein O-mannosyltransferases, to which POMT2 belongs. POMT2 protein is an integral membrane protein localized to the endoplasmic reticulum, where POMT2 is involved in glycosylation of specific substrates, impacting protein stability and function. POMT2 consists of 750 amino acids and features a seven transmembrane helical structure, which is important for enzymatic activity and interaction with other cellular components. Notably, POMT2 shares significant sequence similarity with POMT1, and POMT2 expression is predominantly observed in the testis, highlighting its potential role in reproductive biology.
