Orai2 Antibody (G-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Orai2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Orai2 antibody (G-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Orai2, also known as orai calcium release-activated calcium modulator 2, CBCIP2 (CAP-binding protein complex-interacting protein 2), or TMEM142B (transmembrane protein 142B), is a 254 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that regulates calcium influx in cells. Orai2 is primarily located in the plasma membrane, where Orai2 plays a vital role in store-operated calcium (SOC) entry, a mechanism that replenishes calcium stores depleted by inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate and other calcium-mobilizing agents. Orai2 forms calcium release-activated calcium (CRAC) channels, which are essential for mediating calcium influx in T-cells and are integral to the immune response. Through interaction with calcium sensor Stim1, Orai2 enhances the Ca2+-selective current, facilitating critical cellular processes that depend on calcium signaling.
