Nkx-3.2 Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Nkx-3.2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Nkx-3.2 antibody (H-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Nkx-3.2 protein, also known as BAPX1 or Homeobox protein NK-3 homolog B, plays a crucial role as a transcription factor in the development of smooth muscle tissues and skeletal structures, particularly influencing spleen development and the axial skeleton. Nkx-3.2 function is vital as this protein regulates the differentiation of prechondrogenic cells, which are essential for proper skeletal formation. Human Nkx-3.2 gene is located on chromosome 4p16.1, a region associated with several skeletal diseases, and mutations or deletions in this gene can lead to significant developmental disorders. Nkx-3.2 null mice exhibit severe skeletal dysplasia, asplenia, and malformations in the gastroduodenal region, highlighting Nkx-3.2′s importance in normal vertebral column and cranial bone development.
