MAGE Antibody (E-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects melanoma-associated antigen (MAGE) in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MAGE antibody (E-8) targets a member of the MAGE family, which is known for its role in eliciting immune responses against tumors, making MAGE a significant focus in cancer immunotherapy. MAGE proteins are primarily located in the cytoplasm of tumor cells, and MAGE expression is largely restricted to malignant tissues, with notable exceptions in the testis and placenta. This unique expression pattern allows for the development of targeted therapies that can selectively attack cancer cells while sparing normal tissues, thereby minimizing potential side effects. MAGE proteins are also involved in various cellular processes, including apoptosis and cell cycle regulation, which further underscores MAGE importance in tumor biology. Anti-MAGE antibody (E-8) enables exploration of tumor immunity mechanisms and contributes to advancing therapeutic strategies aimed at harnessing the body′s immune system to combat cancer.
