LARP7 Antibody (E-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects LARP7 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LARP7 (E-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LARP7, also known as La ribonucleoprotein domain family member 7, PIP7S, or HDCMA18P, is a 582 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the regulation of gene expression by localizing to the nucleoplasm. LARP7 contains one RNA recognition motif (RRM) domain and one helix-turn-helix (HTH) La-type RNA-binding domain, which are essential for RNA interaction. LARP7 functions as a key component of the 7SK ribonucleoprotein complex, where LARP7 binds to the highly conserved 3′-terminal U-rich stretch of 7SK RNA. This binding effectively sequesters positive elongation factors, thereby repressing the transcription of RNA polymerase II genes. LARP7′s ability to modulate transcription and elongation is vital for cell growth and has implications in tumorigenesis. Additionally, LARP7 undergoes DNA damage-dependent phosphorylation, likely mediated by ataxia-telangiectasia mutated (ATM) or ATM and Rad3-related (ATR) kinases, highlighting LARP7′s role in cellular responses to stress.
