LAMP-1 Antibody (E-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects LAMP-1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-LAMP-1 antibody (E-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LAMP-1, also known as CD107a, is a glycosylated type I membrane protein primarily located on the lysosomal membrane, where LAMP-1 plays a crucial role in maintaining lysosomal integrity and function. LAMP-1 is essential for the proper degradation of cellular waste and the recycling of cellular components, which is vital for cellular homeostasis. Additionally, LAMP-1 is involved in the process of cellular adhesion and contributes to tumor invasion and metastasis, highlighting LAMP-1′s importance in both normal physiology and disease states. LAMP-1 expression is notably increased in lysosomal storage disorders, indicating LAMP-1′s potential as a biomarker for these conditions. LAMP-1 monoclonal antibody (E-5) enables researchers to gain insights into the roles of lysosomal proteins in various biological processes and disease mechanisms.
