JRK Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects JRK protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). JRK (E-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. JRK protein, also known as jerky protein homolog or JH8, consists of 520 amino acids and is an important ortholog of mouse Jerky protein. JRK plays a crucial role in cell cycle, translocating from nucleolus to various nuclear foci during S phase and G2 phase, which is essential for proper cell division and function. During mitosis, JRK primarily localizes to cytoplasm, but alternatively spliced isoforms can be found in other cellular compartments. JRK gene is located on human chromosome 8q24.3, a region associated with genes implicated in Childhood Absence Epilepsy (CAE), indicating JRK may have a significant role in developing this condition.
