IEX-1 Antibody (E-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IEX-1 of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IEX-1 (E-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IEX-1 , also known as immediate early response 3 (IER3), plays a crucial role in cellular responses to stress and is involved in the regulation of apoptosis, particularly in tumor cells that often exhibit resistance to apoptotic signals such as FAS and tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α). This resistance is significant as it contributes to tumor survival and proliferation, making IEX-1 a potential target for therapeutic intervention. Structurally, IEX-1 is a 156 amino acid single-pass type II membrane protein that belongs to the IER3 family, and IEX-1 expression is regulated by transcription factors such as NF-kB and p53, which bind to its promoter region.
