HOOK1 Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HOOK1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HOOK1 (E-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HOOK1 protein plays a crucial role in organizing microtubules, which are essential for the spatial arrangement of membrane-trafficking systems within cells. As a cytoskeletal linker protein, HOOK1 is involved in endocytic membrane trafficking and exists as a homodimer, likely formed through central coiled-coil domain. HOOK1 protein interacts with VPS18, a component of the endosomal sorting complex required for transport, and is vital for spermatid differentiation, aiding in positioning manchette microtubules and flagellum. HOOK1 protein is primarily localized in cytoplasm and does not associate with Golgi complex, distinguishing HOOK1 from family member HOOK3, which is involved in organizing cis-Golgi compartment.
