SEE ALSO...

DsRed2 Antibody (25) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DsRed2 protein of non-species reactive by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-DsRed2 antibody (25) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DsRed2 protein, a derivative of the Discosoma sp. red fluorescent protein, serves as a visual reporter in molecular biology due to exceptional brightness and photostability, crucial for real-time imaging of cellular processes. A beta-barrel configuration allows for efficient chromophore formation, enabling DsRed2 protein to emit bright red fluorescence upon excitation. This structural feature enhances signal-to-noise ratio in fluorescence applications, making DsRed2 protein an ideal choice for tagging proteins in live-cell imaging and other experimental setups. DsRed2 protein′s versatility as a fusion tag facilitates the study of protein localization, interactions, and dynamics within various cellular contexts, providing valuable insights into biological functions and mechanisms.
