SEE ALSO...

CD45 Antibody (2B11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to target CD45, also known as Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase Receptor Type C (PTPRC). CD45 is a crucial transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on all nucleated hematopoietic cells, playing an essential role in regulating immune cell signaling and activation. Located on the cell surface, CD45 modulates signal transduction pathways by dephosphorylating key tyrosine residues on Src family kinases such as Lck and Fyn, as well as on ZAP-70 from the Syk family of kinases. These interactions are vital for proper T and B cell receptor signaling, influencing lymphocyte development, activation, and immune responses. CD45 monoclonal antibody (2B11) is raised against isolated neoplastic cells from a T cell lymphoma, ensuring effectiveness in targeting CD45 across various human applications, including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), Proximity Ligation Assay (PAR), and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-CD45 antibody (2B11) recognizes specific epitopes generated by alternative splicing of the CD45 gene, allowing for the detection of multiple isoforms such as CD45RA, CD45RB, CD45RC, and CD45RO. These isoforms are differentially expressed among distinct immune cell subsets, providing valuable insights into immune cell differentiation and function. CD45 (2B11) antibody facilitates detailed analysis of immune cell populations and their signaling mechanisms, making this reagent an indispensable tool for research and diagnostic applications in immunology and hematology.

Can CD45 (2B11): sc-20056 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, CD45 (2B11): sc-20056 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
