Datasheets
  • BM88 Antibody (G-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ BM88 antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 80-95 within a cytoplasmic domain of BM88 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of BM88 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for BM88 Antibody (G-7) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with BM88 Antibody (G-7) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

    SEE ALSO...

BM88 Antibody (G-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgM kappa antibody that detects BM88 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-BM88 antibody (G-7) is available as the non-conjugated form. BM88 protein, also known as CEND1 (cell cycle exit and neuronal differentiation protein 1), plays a crucial role in neuroblastoma cell differentiation and is characterized as a single-pass type IV membrane protein that is neuron-specific. BM88 structure includes a central proline-rich region with four PxxP motifs, which are known to interact with SRC homology-3 (SH3) domains, and a putative C-terminal transmembrane region. BM88 contains several potential sites for post-translational modifications such as N-glycosylation, myristoylation, and phosphorylation, which are essential for functional regulation and interactions within the cell. BM88 is implicated in a novel signaling mechanism that modulates calcium release from inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate-sensitive stores, contributing to anti-proliferative and anti-apoptotic functions. BM88 serves as a significant molecular target for histone deacetylase inhibition, with transcription being induced by trichostatin-A, highlighting importance in cellular processes and potential therapeutic applications.
