TROP-2 Antibody (F-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TROP-2 from mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TROP-2 (F-5) antibody is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TROP-2, also known as tumor-associated calcium signal transducer 2 (TACSTD2), is a cell surface glycoprotein receptor that transduces intracellular calcium signals, vital for cellular processes including proliferation and differentiation. TROP-2 is predominantly expressed in trophoblast cells, cornea, and multistratified epithelia, and shows high upregulation in several tumor types, making TROP-2 a significant marker for cancer research. TROP-2 expression in tumors regulates carcinoma cell growth, highlighting TROP-2′s potential as a therapeutic target. Mutations in TROP-2 can lead to gelatinous drop-like corneal dystrophy (GDLD), an autosomal recessive disorder impairing vision, underscoring TROP-2′s importance in cancer biology and ocular health.
