Thy-1 Antibody (HIS51) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Thy-1 protein in mouse, rat, and human samples by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-Thy-1 antibody (HIS51) is available in non-conjugated form and conjugated to agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® dyes, offering flexibility for various experimental applications. Thy-1, also known as CDw90, is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored cell surface glycoprotein essential for cell adhesion and signaling, particularly in hematopoietic stem cells. Thy-1 expression helps identify specific cell subpopulations, including those that coexpress CD34, which are considered pluripotent stem cells in bone marrow. Thy-1+ cells play key roles in immunological processes, such as regulating graft versus host disease and autoreactivity after bone marrow transplantation, making Thy-1 an important marker for research and clinical applications.
