SEMA3A Antibody (C-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that specifically targets SEMA3A, also known as Semaphorin-3A, Sema III, Collapsin-1, or SEMAD, by recognizing amino acids 103-402 of the human protein. SEMA3A monoclonal antibody (C-1) reacts with SEMA3A from mouse, rat, and human origins in applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SEMA3A is a secreted protein located in the extracellular region, where SEMA3A plays a crucial role in axonal guidance by acting as a chemorepellent to developing neurons, guiding the formation of intricate neural networks. The extracellular location of SEMA3A enables interaction with receptors on distant cells, influencing cellular behavior during neural development. Beyond the nervous system, SEMA3A regulates angiogenesis by binding to receptors like neuropilin-1 and neuropilin-2, competing with vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), which can suppress new blood vessel formation.
