Pirin Antibody (D-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects human pirin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-pirin antibody (D-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Pirin, also known as iron-binding nuclear protein, plays a crucial role in transcriptional activation and apoptosis, making pirin essential for cellular regulation and response to stress. Notably, pirin is localized within the nucleus, where pirin interacts with specific transcription factors, including NFI/CTF1 (nuclear factor I/CCAAT box transcription factor), suggesting pirin′s involvement as a cofactor in transcriptional regulation. This interaction provides insights into the mechanisms of gene expression and the regulation of DNA transcription and replication, highlighting pirin′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to various physiological stimuli. Research indicates that pirin mRNA is poorly expressed across human tissues, with notable expression in heart and skeletal muscle, suggesting a specialized role in these tissues. The unique properties and interactions of pirin make pirin monoclonal antibody (D-12) a valuable tool for researchers studying transcriptional regulation and related cellular processes.
