SEE ALSO...

p27 Kip1 Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects p27 Kip1 of mouse, rat, and human origin through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry (IHC), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). p27 Kip1 (F-8) antibody is offered in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, such as agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. p27 Kip1 plays a crucial role in regulating cell cycle progression by acting as a negative regulator of G1 phase transition, which is essential for maintaining proper cellular function and preventing uncontrolled cell proliferation. Elevated levels of p27 Kip1 are observed in response to DNA damage, particularly in a p53-dependent manner, highlighting its importance in cellular stress responses. p27 Kip1 interacts with D-type cyclins and cyclin-dependent kinase 4, as well as to a lesser extent with cyclin E and cyclin-dependent kinase 2, thereby influencing the activity of these key regulators in the cell cycle. p27 Kip1 modulation of cell cycle dynamics underscores its significance in cancer biology and therapeutic strategies targeting cell proliferation.
