SEE ALSO...

OX2 Antibody (OX90) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects OX2 protein of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-OX2 antibody (OX90) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. OX2, also known as CD200 or MOX2, is a 248-residue cell surface glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in immune regulation by interacting with OX2R. This interaction helps modulate immune responses, potentially preventing excessive inflammation and tissue damage. OX2 is predominantly expressed in lymphoid cells, neurons, and endothelial cells, while OX2R is primarily found in lymphoid and neuronal tissues. OX2R includes a significant portion of its weight derived from N-linked glycosylation, which can influence receptor stability, localization, and interaction with ligands. OX2R′s cytoplasmic domain contains NPXY motifs that facilitate interactions with specific binding domains, further underscoring structural features′ importance in mediating cellular signaling pathways. OX2 and OX2R interaction plays a vital role in suppressing macrophage-induced inflammatory damage, highlighting OX2′s significance in maintaining immune homeostasis.

How can OX2 (OX90): sc-53100 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-53100 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-53100 FITC).
