NDUFB3 Antibody (F-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects NDUFB3 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NDUFB3 (F-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NDUFB3, also known as NADH dehydrogenase (ubiquinone) 1 beta subcomplex subunit 3, plays a crucial role as an accessory subunit of Complex I, a vital component of the mitochondrial electron transport chain. Complex I catalyzes the transfer of electrons from NADH to ubiquinone, a process essential for cellular respiration and energy production. NDUFB3, consisting of 98 amino acids, is hydrophobic and located on the matrix side of the inner mitochondrial membrane, where NDUFB3 contributes to the structural integrity and functionality of Complex I. Complex I facilitates the generation of an electrochemical proton gradient necessary for ATP synthesis and plays a significant role in maintaining mitochondrial health and cellular metabolism. Disruptions in NDUFB3 or Complex I function have been implicated in various mitochondrial diseases and neurodegenerative disorders, highlighting NDUFB3′s importance in both health and disease.
